Tribal Tour of Gujarat

Itinerary

• Day 1: Ahmedabad

  Arrival Ahmedabad and transfer to hotel.

• Day 2: Ahmedabad - Jambughoda

  

  During morning drive towards to Jambughoda enroute visit the Champaner (world Heritage Site, UNESCO) – Pavagarh hill – check in a nice palace at Jambughoda (3hr drive + visit) Overnight Jambughoda.

• Day 3: Jambughoda - Rathawa tribe village - Kanwat (weekly market) - Chhota Udaipur/ palace

  

  1.20hr drive + visit

  Morning after breakfast check out and drive towards Chhota Udaipur, meet the colorful Rathawa and Nayak tribe at their isolated villages famous for pithora painting and nice weekly market of Rathwa tribe. Check in a nice palace at Chhota Udaipur- enjoy the mouthwatering royal dinner with royal hospitality at there. Overnight Chhota Udaipur.

• Day 4: Chhotta Udaipur - Lothal (Indus Velley civilization, 3000 BC) - Palitana

  

  6hr drive + visit

  Morning enjoy the royal breakfast and then drive towards Bhavnagar, enroute visit the ruin part of famous ancient Indus valley Civilization area at Lothal – (excursion the ancient ruin port, warehouse system, their settlement and drainage system around 5000 year monuments of world history) also visit the nearby museum too. Check in nice heritage palace and relax at there.

• Day 5: Palitana to Junagarh (170 km 3 hrs)

  

  To see Naga Sadhus Festival. Stay at Junagarh.

• Day 6: Junagarh

  

  Naga Sadhu Festival and stay at Junagarh.

• Day 7: Junagarh to Ahmedabad (300 km 5 hrs)

• Day 8: Ahmedeabad to Dadra Nagar (350 km 6 hrs)

  Visit sightseeing of tribal museum and Lake. Stay at Nagar Haveli.

• Day 9: Nagar Haveli to Meghawal

• Day 10: Nagar Haveli to Meghawal tribes

• Day 13: Nagar Haveli to Ahmedabad (350 km 6 hrs)

• Day 14: Ahmedabd to Palitana (200 km 4 hrs)

  Visit sightseeing tour and stay at Palitana.

• Day 15: Palitana (Satrunjay Hill, A group of Jain Monument) - Sasan Gir (4.45hr drive+ visit)

  Drive to Palitana to Visit the Paradise of Group of ancient jain monuments while morning climb the thousands of steps at Satrunjay hill – Palitana and excursion the beauty of jain monuments (very nice for photography outsides ). Check in a nice resort at Sasan Gir national park.

  Note: Those guests have orthopedic, asthma, high blood pressure or heart problem we recommend them to go by Swinging Dolli (carried by four persons with fix bench) before hiring to visit the Palitana hill please negotiate the price with them or our guide will help you there for price negotiation. Overnight Gir National Park.

• Day 16: Sasan Gir - 2 open jeep safari (am & pm)

  

  Meet the wild Asiatic lion during open jeep savari on nature at Sasan Gir Nationla Park.

  Pm – Open jeep safari.

  Open jeep safari – on line booking in advance and what identity proof you mentioned please carry photo copy of that with the original too and report 30 min. before of your starting time. Overnight at the same resort at Gir National Park.

• Day 17: Sasan Gir - morning safari - Siddi tribal village - Somnath (2hr drive+ visit)

  If desire morning again one jeep safari to meet the king of jungle at the Gir national park, then after check out and departure for Siddi tribal village (complete African origin)-excursion their life style at their village.

  Proceed towards Somnath, check in a nice hotel at there and evening visits the illumination of Somnath temple from outside. Overnight Somnath.

• Day 18: Somnath - Junagarh - Gondal (3hr drive+ visit)

  Morning during sun rise proceed toward Somnath shore temple again – best time for photography (accordingly sun ray).  Then after breakfast departure for Gondal , enroute visit Junagarh Visit Ashoka Rock edict – 3^rd c BC, Upercot Fort, MahabatMaqbara then check in a nice palace at  Gondal. Stay with royal hospitality at there. Overnight Gondal.

• Day 19: Gondal - Pandhar tribal village - Sayla (4hr drive + visit)

  Early stand up and during sun rise visit the Navlak palace and River side palace (best for photography), and then after breakfast proceed to Sayla check in a nice heritage palace, than after visit the famous Pandhar tribal village and meet the pandhar tribe – very different then others and their settlement. Late after enjoy the campfire with nice snacks and dinner at the royal palace. Overnight Sayla.

• Day 20: Sayla - Dholavira (historical site) - Bhuj (6hr drive+ visit)

  Morning visit the famous ancient Navlak temple 11^th c AD, onroute visit the Dholavira – Historical site,then drive to Bhuj (one of the famous town of weastern Gujarat of Kutch region ), upon check in collect the legal permit for Bani – Rabari village from collector office  (our driver or guide will do that). Overnight Bhuj.

• Day 21: Bhuj - Bani Group of Village - Dhordo

  

  Full day Bani Group of tribal villages.

  Excursion full day Rabari village of Bani group of tribal village such as Bani, Ludiya, Hodko, Dhordo etc. Overnight- Great Rann of Kutch or Bani Village.

   

• Day 22: Dhordo - Jat Tribal village

  

  There are different type of Rabari/ full day – excursion Bhujudi,

  Afternoon excursion the Jat tribal village with village chief. Meet the Fakirani and Dhanetajat tribal group at their isolated village.

  Jat – one of the most colorful and aggressive ethnic group of classic Gujarat, without help of village cheap it is impossible to visit their village, and luckily, we have very good local relation with the village cheap and his son so for us it is very possible to conduct and excursion their village.

• Day 23: Dhordo to Dasada - (5.30hr drive+ visit)

  Morning after breakfast drive towards Dasada, a small town of central eastern part of Gujarat state. Upon arrival there check in a nice resort.

  Pm – excursion the Des Rabari Tribe village near by Dasada.

  Note: there are different Rabari tribal communities are there accordingly area wise. so excursion to different at this area. Overnight Dasada.

• Day 24: Dasada - 2 safari at Little Rann of kutch

  During jeep safari meet the wild ass on the white sand of Little ran of Kutch.

• Day 25: Little Rann of Kutch

  During morning visit the bird sanctuary in Little Rann of Kutch. Stay at Little Rann of Kutch.

• Day 26: Rann of Kutch

  Visit Rann of Kutch for bird watching. Stay at Rann of Kutch.

• Day 27: Rann of Kutch - Dasada - Modera (sun temple) - Patan (textile village) - Poshina (180 km 5hr drive+ visit)

  Excursion the language of stone on 11th c AD , Sun temple at Modera and visit the famous textile village at Patan also visit the world famous Rani ki Bhav (the unique step well recognized by world heritage site, UNESCO) and check in a nice heritage Palace at Poshina. Enjoy the royal hospitality at there. Overnight Poshina.

• Day 28: Poshina - Garacia tribal village - Poshina

  

  Meet the famous Garacia tribes at their village excursion their life style. Overnight at the same palace at Poshina.

• Day 29: Poshina - Ahmedabad (3.30hr drive)

  Visit Local sightseeing tour and stay at Ahmedabad.

• Day 30: Departure

  Morning drive towards Ahmedabad airport, to board the flight for your connecting place then to home.
